Two centuries after the declaration of the Greek War of Independence, today we remember, and we honour the heroes, and the dreamers, the Hellenes, and the Philhellenes, the eponymous, and the anonymous, the men, and the women, the old, and the young, all the faithful in Christ that, with the intercessions of our Most Holy Theotokos, fought for our freedom. May their memory be eternal!
